Social media enables campus leaders to connect with their many constituencies – but using social media does not come naturally to many in those positions of leadership. So how can  marketing and social media professionals coach presidents, deans, and chancellors on the strategic and technical skills required to craft messages that support institutional objectives?

Josie Ahlquist, a veteran higher ed marketing specialist, explored this topic during CUPRAP’s Fall West Workshop last week with two people who understand this dynamic very well, Terisa Riley, chancellor at University of Arkansas Fort Smith, and Rachel Rodemann Putman, the associate director of strategic communications at UAFS.  The three seasoned veterans discussed how marketing professionals can assist campus leaders in using social media to share their voice, their values, and their vision, with their entire digital community.

We’re pleased to present this session as part of Volt’s live event series, Volt@. We’ve broken this conversation into six videos, or you can listen to the entire discussion in audio podcast form.
