If you are an experienced Marketing professional with an appreciation for the arts and education, Academy of Art University invites you to apply for our fully remote Marketing Strategy Specialist position. This position is responsible for the strategic development, execution, and optimization of traditional and digital marketing to promote individual courses, certificate, undergraduate, and graduate programs for both domestic and international admissions, to meet the University’s objectives. The Marketing Strategy Specialist will collaborate with University Leadership to research, plan, implement, and analyze campaigns to acquire high-quality inquiries and applications for new student enrollment. This role will identify strategic relationships such as agencies, advertising venues, industry partnership opportunities, and schools that will present opportunities to increase new and transfer student enrollment for both domestic and international students.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and implement, in collaboration with University Leadership, search engine optimization efforts, including analysis, strategy, SERP, content recommendations, keyword targeting, and other related activities, to drive an increase in quality organic traffic, leads, and applications.
  • Manage relationships and communications with traditional media vendors. Consult with the Marketing Automation and Operations Specialist to assure timely payments to vendors and communicate any delays to them.
  • Maintain and disseminate media and marketing calendars.
  • Work with Creative Marketing to expand presence on a variety of social media platforms to ready them for future marketing activities.
  • Assure that marketing activities can be tracked for performance; maintain performance metrics for all marketing activities monthly.
  • Use internal and external information to develop target audience personas to identify, engage, and convert prospective students.
  • Lead the strategy and development of prospect nurture campaigns for multiple prospective student audiences through email, in collaboration with Admissions’ outreach activities.
  • Analyze paid channel and other campaign statistics to identify opportunities to optimize performance and report actionable insights to marketing leadership.
  • Propose the formulation and testing of new channel and campaign hypothesis and experiments to help drive down cost per inquiry and application targets.
  • Manage the development and execution of marketing dashboards and use data-driven decision-making to recommend the adjustment of strategic levers (budget, targeting, creative).
  • Lead efforts to identify student competitions and appropriate ranking activities, determine what differentiators and benchmarks we can strategically influence, and coordinate the completion of survey questionnaires in a timely manner.
  • Lead research efforts in higher education trends, emerging target audiences, competitive analysis, and the advancement of operational systems.
  • Provide quality assurance for email marketing campaigns; monitor and manage the Marketing@academyart.edu email account.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relative field and at least three (3) years progressively responsible and relevant experience. Preference given with degrees in Business or Marketing
  • Excellent organizational, creative thinking, and time management skills.
  • Experience track record of success working in university marketing is preferred
  • Current on traditional and digital marketing strategies surrounding the latest academic programs and trends to make our university more competitive.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment
  • Up to date with latest email marketing trends and best practices.

Compensation:

$60,000 to $70,00/annual:based on experience and location, this is a fully remote role.
