The Marketing and Communications Specialist, housed within the college’s Office of Marketing and Communications, works collaboratively with Fisher’s Office of Advancement and is responsible for developing, assisting and managing projects from ideation to implementation. Examples of projects and initiatives include: Sourcing, writing and publishing alumni and friends communications such as features, profiles and alumni notes; Managing Fisher’s Alumni and Friends landing page, newsroom and email newsletter; Creating pre- and post-event marketing and communications content for alumni-focused events; Providing strategy and content support for existing and future alumni engagement initiatives; Supporting Fisher’s alumni advisory committees and councils through the creation of meeting collateral (agendas, informational packets, etc.), newsletters to board members, and updates to webpages.

This role provides additional support for advancement-focused alumni initiatives including, but not limited to: Fundraising campaigns (current and future); Annual giving communications; Support collateral and toolkits for development officers; Fisher’s involvement in university-level alumni campaigns.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field of study. Minimum of 2 years experience developing marketing strategy, managing marketing projects, and implementing marketing campaigns in a corporate, higher education, or agency environment. Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience developing brand, marketing, and communication strategies; Ability to think creatively and strategically, while being detail oriented and following a project from ideation through implementation; Expert project management skills, the ability to balance and prioritize multiple work streams and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment; Appreciation for and knowledge of design principles; Design capabilities; Professional demeanor and customer service mindset, including the ability to build collaborative working relationships; Experience working on a small, collaborative team with limited resources to execute team goals.

Additional Information

The target hiring range for this job profile is $51,000 – 67,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
